Employee Self Service Kiosk - Tree of Life

Tree of Life is the nation’s leading distributor of natural, organic, specialty, ethnic, and gourmet food products, with more than a dozen locations nationwide. Like many large organizations, Tree of Life relies on a variety 3rd party benefits providers for many of its human resources needs, including retirement planning, healthcare, dental and more.
Though Tree of Life’s office staff can easily access the benefits websites of these vendors, this was less true for employees who did not have regular access to a PC. To help close this digital divide and extend employee self-service to Tree of Life’s entire workforce, Self-Service Networks developed secure kiosks that allow employees to access a restricted group of Tree of Life-approved benefits sites. These self-service HR kiosks were designed to include a number of hardware and software features that protect employees’ personal information, while empowering them to play a more active role in their benefits management.
As Tree of Life explains: “Tree of Life, Inc. has associates in all states divided among 13 locations nationwide. One of our biggest challenges has been reaching all of our associates with the information necessary to increase their level of understanding regarding their Tree of Life, Inc. retirement savings plan (401k), health and welfare benefits package, career opportunities, and company policies. Self-Service Networks provided us with a self-contained, secure environment tool that enables all associates at our various divisions with the access to gain valuable information on all the great things Tree of Life, Inc. has to offer. At the same time the kiosk has facilitated the advanced technology necessary for associates to provide us with personal profile updates, 401(k) deferral elections and beneficiary designations, applications for open positions, employee survey data, and will allow them to go through benefits open enrollment. We are very pleased with the levels of service, responsiveness and professionalism we've seen from Self-Service Networks. |
