Bill Payment Kiosk - City of Atlanta

The City of Atlanta turned to Self-Service Networks when its Watershed Department needed a convenient way for city residents to pay their monthly water and sewer bills.

While The City of Atlanta Watershed Department already accepted online bill payments, it still relied on Watershed Department staff to handle the demand for in-person check and credit card payments.  In addition to this being time consuming and costly for the City, it was not convenient for city residents, as in-person payments were only accepted during normal business hours.

Self-Service Networks developed an easy-to-use bill payment kiosk application that allows residents to quickly pay their water and sewer bills via check or credit card – eliminating the need for Watershed Department employee involvement.  In addition to delivering cost savings and allowing employees to focus on other tasks, the self-service bill payment kiosks expand residents' payment options.

As the Watershed Department's Melinda Langston explains, "These bill payment kiosks underscore our commitment to better serving the needs of city residents. Paying your water or sewer bill has never been so quick and easy."

The Watershed Department's bill payment kiosks represent just one facet of a city-wide initiative to bring self-service payment and information options to Atlanta residents and visitors alike.
